Special green spaces in Liverpool
We are creating a gallery of your pictures and stories of your favourite green spaces to escape to across Liverpool. They don't have to be great vista's and iconic images, just the places that you regularly escape to that lift your spirits. If you could send the pictures (Max 3), video's, artwork inspired by these special places and some text about how they make you feel and we'll do the rest
Sefton Park
Tom has chosen this picture to represent his favourite place, Sefton Park. The picture is a drawing he made of Pauline, his late mother in law with her three dogs, Danny, Charlie and Becky. It brings lots of lovely memories
'we used to go around Sefton Park back in the day all together ...happy days indeed '
Tom is a talented artist and illustrator and you can see more of his work at www.facebook.com/tomsart

Stanley Park
|
Corinne has written and recorded her poem, so click the red coloured link for Stanley Park, 150 years young to celebrate an old lady of a park (is a park gendered, I'm not sure!) built in 1870. In the poem she also reflects on other memories of parks encountered in her youth, in East London where she grew up and let her imagination wander amongst the natural surroundings she encountered there.
